THE FOUNDER:
Kinetic Kids, Inc. was founded by Jennifer Gober, MSOT, OTR/L, CTRS in 2004. Although Kinetic Kids, Inc. is a relatively young company, Jennifer has exclusively treated children with special needs for the past ten years. Through her experience treating special needs children, of all ages, in various settings, using differing methodologies, Jennifer has emerged with a unique and masterful treatment style and philosophy that she has used to mold Kinetic Kids, Inc. into the organization which it is today. As the company began to grow larger, Jennifer, along with the help of her husband and partner Jason Powe, took painstaking efforts to ensure the company’s growth would be sustainable and adhere to its original founding principles.
Kinetic Kids, Inc. has grown impressively since its founding. The organization, was originally conceived of as a private practice for Jennifer. However, within one month of opening our doors, the demand for the special service that Jennifer provided was overwhelming. Upon recognizing the great need for Floridian families, and her inability to personally treat all of those families that solicited her service, we decided to invite other fantastic pediatric occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and physical therapists, to assist her in her lifelong passion of assisting others. Jennifer and her team have provided services that improve the lives of the children they treat and the lives of the numerous families that have turned to them.
The Kinetic Kids approach is best described as the reintroduction of personal, active, care into the long beleaguered and impersonal health care system. Our therapists and administrative staff work hard to establish a caring community around every child we treat. We reach out to teachers, friends, and doctors to insure that all needs are being systemically and comprehensively addressed. Our guiding philosophy further leads us to believe that accommodation is not just a word, it is a life altering experience. We seek to accommodate not only the children we treat, but also their families, as well as our own family of professional therapists. We know that a little consideration goes a long way.
We at Kinetic Kids, Inc. firmly believe that treatment should be administered where it will be most beneficial. In keeping with that spirit, many of our clients receive services at the home, at the child’s school, at our office locations and via Telehealth. Some clients receive service at all locations in order to maximize the child’s potential for success. Treatment hours are subject to availability, but we do our best to accommodate any requests that are made.
